Beauty, art and joy are important to our well-being!! We invite everyone to come out and create together during our cafe hours!

This art session will be led by Allyson Scribner, an artist passionate about community art. She will share her supplies and knowledge with us! You don't have to know a thing about art to participate..... just come as you are!

Connect with members of the Lawrence community and our natural environment while experimenting with native plant material, local soil, and other unique artistic mediums.

Everybody is a natural born artist, so no artistic experience is necessary!

Session 1 “Guided Activity”: Portraits/Collages with Plant Materials. Allyson will bring dried flowers from KU’s medicinal plant garden for participants to incorporate in plant-based portraits and or collage pieces. She will also collect leaves, small twigs and other foraged plants. This activity is inspired by the work of Justina Blakely

Join in the guided activity or do your own thing! All are welcome to drop in and create with us! Free and open to all.
